Skamania County grocery store offers online EBT shopping
Starting June 25, 2021, Washington EBT cardholders can make online food purchases at the A&J Select Market in Stevenson, Washington. Area seniors also are eligible for free delivery through a partnership with Skamania County Senior Services; that delivery program is expected to last through fall 2021.
A&J Select Market is the third online EBT retailer in Washington state to become certified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture — Food and Nutrition Service. EBT online purchasing began as a pilot in Washington state in January 2020, starting with two stores, Amazon and Walmart. More food retailers nationwide are registering to participate in the SNAP Online Purchasing Project and become EBT online retailers.
A&J Select Market currently offers free delivery only to senior citizens in partnership with Skamania County Senior Services; however, other shoppers can pick up their purchases curbside without having to swipe their EBT card at the store.
