The Rainier School was delighted to help put on the 2021 Buckley Community Tree Lighting. Despite the decidedly less than festive weather conditions, Rainier School volunteers braved the Saturday squall to help set up and maintain the tree lights alongside the surrounding merrymaking. Music provided by the DJ on site allowed Buckley celebrators to enjoy ringing in the holiday season amidst the downpour.

The past couple of years have been two of the most tumultuous in Rainier School’s five-year history of putting on the tree lighting, and the staff pulled together to make the first in-person tree lighting since COVID a special one while keeping it safe for all. The food trucks, vendors and costumed mascots gave attendees warm food and memories to last a lifetime.

The Rainier School is proud and humbled to be a part of the Buckley community and we all look forward to collaborating on this tradition for many, many years to come. This is a special time of the year and this tree lighting brought some early holiday cheer to all of us in the community. Many thanks to all who attended and who braved the weather to set up this wonderful event.
