New online tool available to evaluate individual COVID-19 risk

CV19 CheckUp provides users with a personalized assessment of their COVID-19 risks.

The Department of Social and Health Services, in partnership with BellAge, Inc., has launched CV19 CheckUp in Washington state. The website is a free, anonymous and personalized online tool that evaluates an individual’s risks associated with COVID-19 based on their life situation and individual behavior. After spending a few minutes filling out a survey, CV19 Checkup provides the user with recommendations and resources to reduce those risks.

“CV19 CheckUp helps Washingtonians better understand their risk of getting and spreading COVID-19, and how to take steps to reduce their risk,” said DSHS Assistant Secretary Bill Moss. “It’s quick and easy to use, and can connect people with resources they need in their communities.”

The tool was developed to help Washingtonians be safer and healthier, and to ensure they have the resources and support they need during the pandemic. CV19 CheckUp uses artificial intelligence to analyze data users provide by completing an online questionnaire.

The tool’s algorithms are driven by science and medicine, using data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). CV19 CheckUp is free to users. It is anonymous and does not require a name, email address, or identifier of any type.

After completing the anonymous questionnaire, the CV19 CheckUp immediately delivers a personalized report answering questions such as:

· How likely am I to get COVID-19?

· How likely am I to spread COVID-19 to others if I contract it?

· If I get COVID-19, how severe would it likely be?

· What steps can I take to reduce my risks of getting COVID19?

· How can I find help to make sure my needs are met during the pandemic?
