Keep it up. You’re doing great!

We have some good news to celebrate. The Department of Health COVID-19 Data Dashboard shows decreases in COVID-19 cases statewide. Also, the Governor’s Healthy Washington: Roadmap to Recovery has moved all counties into Phase 2, and over one million vaccinations have been administered in Washington.

These successes are due, in part, to the hard work and tenacity of DSHS employees like you. You are doing an amazing job controlling the spread of infection by continuing to telework, masking up, maintaining physical distancing, etc.

We are not quite out of the woods yet, so the DSHS Roadmap to Recovery (formerly Safe Start) project team wants to remind us all to keep up the good fight against the spread of COVID-19 by continuing to practice behaviors that protect ourselves and others. CDC, DOH, OFM and DSHS guidelines are still in place.

Whether you have been vaccinated or not:

  • Continue teleworking as your main mode of work.
  • Continue wearing appropriate masks when not working alone (cloth face coverings, surgical masks, N95s).
  • Continue keeping your social circle small, both at home and at work.
  • Maintain physical distancing of at least six feet from other people whenever possible.
  • Continue frequently washing your hands (or sanitizing when soap and water are not readily available).
  • Continue staying home when sick, and isolating or quarantining per CDC/DOH guidelines.

Additional resources are available to help educate and inform our response to this pandemic:
