Human Resources Division launches strategic planning eBook
After months of compiling the collective ideas, values, projects and overall goals of the DSHS Human Resources Division and its various customers, HRD is pleased to publish its inaugural strategic planning eBook.
“We appreciate the input, passion and excitement from all HRD staff and customers throughout this process to bring this resource to life,” said HRD Senior Director Wendy Long. “It is important for us to live and breathe our HRD mission to transform lives by providing exceptional HR services to all DSHS employees, and we believe this eBook brings these services to life.”
Modeled after the agency’s eBook, the HRD document highlights the division’s commitment to teamwork, integrity, communication and customer service — what make the division “TICC,” as HRD says. The 17-page eBook introduces workforce analytics and compliance, including the Flexible Agency Resource Management system or FARM, which is a home-grown system created, managed and updated by an innovated in-house team of experts as well as the division’s commitment to increase equity, diversity and inclusion in the state’s workforce and in the services HRD provides to DSHS. The eBook also outlines how HRD intends to align its work with its priorities of expanding screening and selection practices through advice, tools and education for hiring managers; enhancing and implementing improved classification and compensation class needs; and establishing a clear career pathway for HR consultants’ development and growth, among others.
