In a special holiday card art contest, more than a dozen youth at DSHS’ Child Study and Treatment Center created spectacular art to spread cheer this season.

Four winners, artwork below, were nominated by CSTC youth and selected by Secretary Don Clintsman to be printed as this year’s executive DSHS holiday card. Youth also received their own set of printed note cards to send to family and friends.

Here are the four holiday art drawings were selected as contest winners for the 2021 DSHS holiday executive cards.

A hand drawn scene of a child decorating gingerbread cookies, with a window and holiday tree in the background.
A hand drawn picture of an orange cat wearing a Santa Claus hat, and the words “Happy Holiday” scrolled at the bottom of the picture.
A hand drawn picture of an orange pumpkin, with the words “Happy Holyday” written above it.
A hand drawn picture of a snowman wearing a red scarf and waving, and the words “Happy Winter” written above it.

Serving youth ages 5–17, CSTC supports a youth-guided and family-driven approach to behavioral health care. This ensures the youth and their families learn skills to facilitate success when they return home.
