DSHS to open office buildings, lobbies to public on Nov. 15

The Department of Social and Health Services will reopen its office buildings and lobbies to the public on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021.

In order to provide a safe environment for both customers and staff, we require everyone to self-screen against COVID-19 symptoms, sign in, practice physical distancing and wear a mask.

DSHS will continue to offer a variety of service delivery options, which may include scheduling appointments for in-person services and virtual appointments.

We strongly recommend you work directly your specific program or service in advance to discuss COVID-19-related requirements, service delivery offerings, and the opportunity to discuss your specific service or needs.

The following administrations have released the following guidelines for reopening their lobbies:

Economic Services Administration

At our Community Services Offices, limited in-person services are available Monday — Friday starting Nov. 15. Customers can pick up:

• EBT cards and preauthorized bus passes or gas cards from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Preauthorized WorkFirst support service vouchers from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• Verification such as a copy of photo ID, DSHS letters or receipt of public assistance to apply for a Dept. of Licensing reduced-price ID card from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All services continue to be available by phone at 877–501–2233 or online at washingtonconnection.org. Customers who do not have access to a phone or computer may use the CSO’s lobby phones from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to connect directly to the Customer Service Contact Center or lobby computers to access online services at WashingtonConnection.org from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Division of Vocational Rehabilitation

DVR office lobbies will reopen to the public on Nov. 15. Customers are able to contact their local DVR office for service-related questions. For all other inquiries, please call 800–637–5627.

Developmental Disabilities Administration

DDA will continue to be flexible in its services and will continue to offer a variety of service delivery options, which may include scheduling appointments for in-person services and virtual appointments. Please check with the local DDA field services office prior to visiting.
