DSHS’ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation publishes 2020 Annual Report
DSHS’ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation’s 2020 Annual Report is now available for viewing at the following link, DVR Annual Report 2020.
The Annual Report shares the DVR story across State Fiscal Year 2020, detailing how the Division implemented new innovative technologies and tools to continue seamless delivery of employment support services to individuals with disabilities and valuable resources to those businesses in the community that value hiring quality talent.
Though the COVID-19 pandemic created numerous challenges for DVR staff to reach customers, DVR staff across the state rose to the occasion and persevered, leveraging such secure teleconferencing tools like Zoom to reach customers in need of employment services where they’re at.
The Annual Report sheds light on how the Division overcame the challenges brought on by the pandemic.
It opens with DVR Interim Director Terry Redmon’s “Director’s Letter.” Two short articles explain how DVR served customers during unprecedented times, and how DVR celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the VR program in the U.S., respectively.
Readers can also dive into the data that reveals who DVR serves, and the number of those customers successfully employed, etc. Finally, four stories share diverse examples of the people DVR serves across the state and how they each accomplished their job goal with the support of DVR.
